Cancellation

Hello Everyone due to unforeseen events my Fiancé and I are contemplating canceling our 5/18/08 wedding at the Sandcastle does anyone know anything about cancelling a wedding or the monetary responsibility?

Sorry to darken up the conversations :(

hmmm they must have it in the contract what to do. And just call and ask. They must have an out clause somewhere.

Re: Cancellation

yeah it should say something about this on the contract, try the back of it.

Depends, if its suffolk county then you get your money back, well everything except $100 which is nothing. Other places depends, if they can't fill your date then you don't get your deposit back and on top of that can end up owing them money...But yours is over a year away so they should have no problem finding someone to take that date...They might keep the deposit though

I don't want to give you bad advice, but you're still a year and 4 months away from your wedding date. I'd say you still have time to talk with your FH and figure out if your heading down the right path. The hall should be able to book it...

Good luck. Be strong.

I agree, def give this alot of consideration before you do so, and only do so if you found another place you absolutely love, is in your price range and has everything you want...Dont cancel to start looking after and hoping for something better. Good luck

Be honest and tell them! There is still lots of time for them to book someone else.

But unless you are 100% sure you are going to cancel, I would not yet.
