Cancellation in Nassau County?

Can anyone send me a link to access the laws for Nassau County when it comes to canceling with a reception hall? Thank you so much!

nassau is a bit harder. I think it differs from hall to hall and how they handle it bc its not like suffolk where there is a law they have to follow.

For example at my hall it states in the contract: that if they re-book your date for equal or greater value then you get your money back, except for deposit i think, i have to check when i get home. If they cant rebook your date then unfortunately you would owe them the money, or if they rebook your date but for a lesser value then you'll owe but not the whole thing.

BUT in your contract it should have a cancellation policy with all the details on this for your RH

Do you have a contract with the hall? If so, they are required to keep the deposit, unless you are just changing the date then they will transfer th deposit over to that date. Nassau County may not have a law for that, it all depends what the RH contract says. I hope I was helpful.

Nassaus Cancellation policy is on your contract, suffolk is totally different-the same law does not apply to Nassau-you would have to go by your contract with that specific vendor
