Cancelled Port Jeff CC

I cancelled today b/c I didn't feel it was us. I feel into the FMIL trap and left the deposit but then it was like she thought she had control over everything. I'm sure the place will be beautiful but it's not for us, FMIL yes, us no. I only had a couple of weeks left for a refund so I feel so relieved.

I'm glad you didn't lose your deposit. What other halls are you interested in? Will you resume your search right away?

Good decision - you have to do things you and FH will like. What are your other choices?

i'm happy that you were able to make the right decision for you before it is too late. if you were second guessing your decision now it would have only been worse as time went on.

FM me if you want some suggestion on some others. We saw a lot in a short amount of time!

Good for you - I think PJCC is nice but if it wasnt for you then you made the right decision

Thanks for the support ladies. I know I made the right decision b/c after I called it was like I could breath again. I'm looking for a unique venue, Hay Barn at the planting fields, a historic house, something along those lines. Would need to have ceremony on site as well. Anyone have a mansion I could borrow for a day??? Oh yeah, and there's 85 people max so alot of the known mansions are out with their 100person min. What's a girl to do. I wish there was a 'For Better or For Worse' Show for Long Island. Damm Californians!
