Does anyone know the specifics on cancelling my reception hall contract in Sufflok County? It turns out my number choice isn't as expensive as we originally thought so we might want to switch. Please help!

You will most likely lose your deposit. Beyond that it depends on your contract. You should see if there is anything on there about canceling.

How long ago did you book? I canceled 2 halls and one they returned the deposit and the second they held it till they booked the hall again, you are getting married in 09 so they should be able to rebook, call and see what they say.

I think it depends on the contract and also how close you are to your wedding.
The least a RH will charge it your deposit plus a cancellation fee of their choice.

if its in suffolk I believe there is some law about if you cancel with more than 6 months back they have to give you back a portion of your money. Dont think its all of it, but a good amount

I'm pretty sure if you cancel more than a certain amount of time in advance in suffolk they have to give you your deposit back. You're in 09..so you should be fine..they'll give you the $$ back!

You can post on LIW and get someone to use your hall and date and work something out with them...

most places will let you cancel with a full refund. just make sure there was nothing in your contract about canceling and refunds! Good Luck

You might lose the deposit, unless the contract states that you can get it back if someone else takes your spot.
