i have another poem...it's specific for candles you can get at Yankee candle stores. i can send you the file tomorrow...i don't have it here!
the candles that you use from Yankee candle are called: Wedding Day, Midsummer's Nite, Home for the Holidays, Fresh Cut Roses, Cottage Breeze, Ginger Citrus, and maybe a few others...i can't remember off the top of my head.
i actually did the candle basket for another LIW bride like 2 wks ago.
yup.. that special bride was me.. because melissa thinks I'm awesome.
Heres the poem:
_______ and _______ are a great pair,
heres a basket of candles for you to share...
The wedding day one burns first at the start of your life,
to celebrate your first night as husband and wife.
The red pair is taller and much, much thinner;
they are to burn with your first company over for dinner.
A candle to burn on your first christmas night;
its called home for the holidays and should burn very bright.
The ginger citrus candle will burn on your first new year;
may it bring you both love and lots of good cheer.
The midsummer's night candle is for your very first fight;
use it to burn when making up all night.
The sweet strawberry candle will set the mood and pave the way;
for your very first married valentine's day.
Now when your 1st year of marriage is through;
the cottage breeze candle will burn for you two.
By this time we hope that maybe just maybe;
you could burn the lilac blossom candle on the birth of your first baby.
And just when you thought you could put them away;
take the clean cotton one out for your 5th anniversary day.
We are at the second to last ones;
the big 2-5;
the silver anniversary candles that will keep your love alive.
Now one pair left;
the great 5-0;
the gold anniversary candles that will continue your glow.
So congratulations on the start of your forever;
may the two of you always be happy together.
Burn these candles just the way we said;
but please don't forget to blow them out before bed!
ETA: I didn't underline the candle names, it takes too long on here.. sorry!
