Candle place cards

If you used them how much did it cost and where did you get the supplies?

Thanks!

call your hall and make sure you can have them. I used to work at a catering hall and sometimes they may look pretty, but can be quite a hazard.

I agree call first. But this site has them for a good price. http://www.save-on-crafts.com/votive.html

a lot of girls diy-ed them. all you need is the glass votive holder (at a craft store) and vellum... oh, and the candle *duh*

I'm DIYing them and it will work out pretty cheap... We got the candle holders at ikea for 30cents each and vellum paper isn't expensive either. And you can get tealights in bags of like 100 for a buck or 2.

I made mine myself. I bought the votive holders from ebay. I think I paid $30 for 100. Then I bought vellum at Staples. That was $10. So I spent about $40 making them.

How they were displayed at the wedding:

I love the candle placecards. I think it may be too ambitious of a DIY project for me.

We'll see how much time we have left when the wedding nears.

Ask your hall to light them 10 minutes PRIOR to the reception during the Cocktail Hour...NOT to light them at the beginning of the CH.
