I am doing my own DIY candle centerpieces for my October 2008 wedding and was hoping some of you 07 girls could help me with recommendations on where to buy candles. Here's an early sample of what I plan on doing:
I want flat-top candles in ivory or champagne, unscented. The one I used in the pic is a bell-top candle cuz I had it lying around :)
If any of you used pillar candles in your DIY centerpieces and found a really great company, please let me know. I would love dripless but I do not know if they make them in pillars!
Thanks. I have heard of them. I guess they didn't drip? I am also concerned about them burning right - some pillars burn lopsided and look weird, do you know what I mean?

Ikea has the greatest pillar candles. They don't drip, most are unscented, and they come in such a variety of heights. Ivory and white are two of the standard colors.
I burn Ikea candles all the time. I used them for my wedding on the card table. Grouped some in varying heights and had them burning the whole reception. Looked really good.

Your cp's are beautiful!!!! I love the leaves and did you use coffee beans around the candle? I agree with one of the above posts, definetly IKEA, they have some great candles at great prices. You can also check out Michaels and AC Moore or your local dollar store.

Yes, it's coffee beans - from a recommendation from a 07 bride! That's why I came back here to ask about candles - you girls know more than us 08ers!
I will certainly be taking a trip to IKEA in the new year!
