So I love candles. However I am having a daytime wedding. But, it's in the winter. Can I still use candles or will it look funny?

What's the lighting/window situation like in your room? If there aren't lots of big windows (like at my RH), you could probably get away with it
I agree

Re: Candles
Good point. Part of cocktail hour has 2 big windows but they have heavy shades on them. The rest of the lace has a lot of windows. I guess it might not work. Oh well.

crashing here.. yes, you can still use candles, I am also having a day reception and I think it will add a nice touch.. You can ask them not to put on as many lights either if that's your goal...
Our guests will be eating around dinner time (4-5ish) so I think it will be perfect..

Completely agree! I love candles everywhere and anywhere....they really do add something to the space...day time or not.

Re: Candles
i say go for it but just make sure your RH allows candles due to fire safety.
My RH does not allow them but I may opt to using battery operated candles
