Candy Bar

Is anyone planning on having a candy bar at their wedding?

How would it work exactly. Do you bring the jars and candy already set up to the hall prior to the wedding?

Does it come out after the cake is cut? or does it sit in the hall the whole time?

I am confused. Any ideas would help.

hmmm.. I have some of the same questions. the first thing I would do is call your hall and see what they say. They might have the option to do it for you but it ight be extra OR ask them if you bring everything in can they set it up? If thats the case I woulod buy the bowls and whatever you want and the candy and give it to them to set up and put out. I would put it out after the cake is cut. Hope this helps

I am definitely doing one. I LOVE candy!! I want to have it out for like that last hour. I will bring assorted jars and bowls and the candy and have the hall set it up. The candy will also serve as the favor. I am going to get bags (like the ones coffee come in) and put our monogram on them. There are some idea pictures in my album.

I wanted to do that too, but wasn't sure how much candy to get for approx. 180-200 guests.

love the pictues....1st one is my favorite.
the way i see it it will be cheaper then a vienesse hour ( i hope) and I was also hoping they would act as the favor.

i told a friend about it and she dosnt get it.
She thinks i def. need to give people something besides the candy bar....what do you think?

I don't think you need to give a favor as well, since it all adds up quickly and is a nice treat. It's really up to you. Your guests will be getting a bag full of candy. If it bothers you though, you can always look for an inexpensive favor just so you have something on your tables.

We had one and everyone loved it. Just make sure you call your RH to make sure that it will be ok with them. We brought the jars and the candy and they did the set up. It was brought out at the same time as the chocolate fountain and the vienesse platters, so it was after the cake cutting. We also did a donation favor, but I wnated people to have something to take home and it was really fun.
