Candy Bar favors too old fashioned?

Candy Bar favors too old fashioned?

I saw a friend of a friend's favor from a wedding this past Sunday, and it was a chocolate bar. Usually I feel like chocolate bars are very passe, but these had great photos on both sides (they were really really really well done) and my friend said the chocolate was the best she had ever eaten. What are your thoughts? Bars can be used with a twist or no go??

Thanks for the help and feedback on the bars and my epics :) That baby shower candy bar picture sounded adorable!! I love the candy apple idea! Those are going to be beautiful!!

Id much rather get reece cups with special wrappers than a choclate bar- JMO. Reese cups are a lil more original. Im also the one who wanted to do cotton candy favors

Should have put pic in original post. I always think of the sweet sixteen candy bars :) The picture is a little far away, but they actually don't look all that bad. I think I'd need to sample the chocolate ;)
Not too old fashioned looking though...

I agree. I'm kind of swaying toward them...my other idea was lottery tickets, which would be scratched off when the DJ announced at the end of the night. I think it would be cool if someone won something, even if it was something little :) I don't know which to do though.....

I think it's cool if it's really good chocolate and there's something unique about the wrapper.

At my baby shower, we had chocolate bars w/and w/o almonds (I know a baby shower is not a wedding!), but the wrappers made them really elegant and different. It was a pic of DH holding my prego belly on his knees and me rubbing his head. Everyone loved the personal touch of the wrapper...that's why your e-pics would make them beautiful!

I am getting married on October 29th and we are doing candy apples. I thought that it would look nice on the tables and in pictures...they will probably taste yummy too!
