How many pounds of candy are you buying for how many people? I am having approx. 200 guests and want to make sure that I buy enough.
Also, what size container are you using? I saw the take-out containers on papermart.com for very cheap and wasn't sure if I should get the pint or the quart.

definately get pint - quart is a lot of candy
I would figure out how many lbs are in a pint and do it that way

Hi! I had a candy buffet for about 130 people at my wedding this past October. We went to Target and bought about 30 bags of various fall-colored candies like M&Ms, Reeses Pieces, Hershey's Miniatures, etc. They had it all really cheap b/c it was their Halloween stock. It was about $125 total for all of it! We had about 15 containers (all from AC Moore) and we had enough to fill each two times (the RH refilled as they emptied). The only candy that did not go was the candy corn; otherwise it all went! We did not use those take-out containers b/c I didn't like the look of that, so we got bags and had labels made.
