Re: Candy Buffet
There are tons of pictures of candy buffets on theknot.com which is where I got the idea to do the same thing!
Some couples only select candies in their wedding colors, which looks nice; others choose a variety of candy types and colors. I would ask to see pictures of how they do it at your RH - that might be a nice stress-free way to have the candy buffet.
The way in which you want to set up the candy bar will probably determine a lot of the costs. For example, you could use glass jars, organza bags, or plastic bags for the candy depending on how much you want to spend and the look you're going for. I would go to a gourmet candy store and see how much jelly beans and other fun candies are per pound. I would want to assume that most guests won't have more than 1/5 lb of candy, but that is totally not based on anything real! HTH

Re: Candy Buffet
To save money we are mixing it ....the higher more visable jars will be our wedding colors...then just random candy in the less visable jars....the way I figured it including containers to hold candy and containers for people to take it home is 4.30 a person

I am spending 500 for a party of 250. I did stick with one color to add to the cost.

Wow!! only $500? I was thinking it would cost a lot more!
Where did you get your jars?? What are you using for the guests to put the candy in??

Re: Candy Buffet
JT was going to charge a flat rate of $600....our Banquet Manager actually told us to save money we could go to BJ's (or costco, whatever) buy what we want & he'd put it out...(so that's another idea)....we agreed but because of last minute craziness we never did it...now i wish we would've just had the RH do it!!! (although i dont think our insane viennese missed it much lol)
