So after seeing the candy at TWOTY I think I am going to do a candy buffet. I know my FSIL just went to a wedding and she loved it. Hopefully FH will agree that it is a good idea.
Anyone else thinking of doing a candy bar?

I am going to do it myself if we do it. I was thinking of going to home goods or michaels when they have sales and start to collect jars.

I am. since I am not having the dessert hour(cant spell the official name) I am having a candy buffet. I already spoke with my RH and they said drop off the jars and the candies and they would set up. I am hoping some of the 2011 ladies are selling their soon :)

Re: Candy Buffet
Also, it could be the favor. My friend had a few boxes that were too small for her favor so she is giving me them. I will have a sticker made and let people take candy home

Re: Candy Buffet
Yeah I am doing a donation so I figure it would be nice for everyone to have something to bring home to munch on or eat at the hotel!

I was just going to ask who would set it up if it was DIY! I was thinking of even making bags that say our names & the date! Such a great idea

Re: Candy Buffet
I was thinking of having the chinese food containers and get stickers with our monograms made on zazzle.com!
Now I just have to figure out how many containers and how much candy for 150-175 people!

Re: Candy Buffet
Thanks for the heads up. I think I am going to wait alittle longer to get any of the candy. I do not want to have to worry about the candy not be good next year!

Re: Candy Buffet
Mara I would def go for it! We were going to do it until we decided we are doing viennese hour so its not really necessary to have MORE sweets lol. Def Michaels and Home Goods will have good prices and I have also seen them sold in groupings like this which can totally be worth it with free shipping and a coupon code: http://www.orientaltrading.com/ui/browse/processRequest.do?demandPrefix=12&sku=3/1900&mode=Searching&erec=0&D=glass+jars&Ntx=mode%2bmatchallpartial&Ntk=all&requestURI=processProductsCatalog&N=0&Ntt=glass+jars&Dx=mode%2bmatchallpartial&sd=Glass+Jar+Set
