Candy Buffet and OOT baskets

Hi Everyone-

If anyone did a candy buffet as a favor- about how much did it cost? Got a lot of quotes for different vendors this week and I am trying to work on our budget. Can you send pics to if you have any.

Also, what did you put in out of town guest baskets and how much should I plan on spending around? Do you give one for every room? What if friends are sharing rooms?

we are doing viennesse so no candy buffet. we are doing oot baskets. one per room. we'll prob put 2 maybe 3 water bottles in each, with some snacks. not planning on spending a ton. we already have 16 rooms booked and invites didnt even go out yet.... we have 35 reserved.

I am thinking of doing a candy bar, but a very small one. We are having the cake served as a trio: cake, choc. covered strawberry and something else, then we are having the choc fountain for dipping, then I am setting up 3 huge apothecary jars with all white candies, have not decided on all yet, but one will surely be customized m&m's with our names, colors, will be white and silver. I have been thinking of white choc. covered pretzels, or yogurt, or maybe raisins.

OOT guest boxes, I am doing, I am using 9x6x6 gable boxes. I am putting labels on them tied with 2 ribbons with a little tag. They will have 2-4 waters (depending upon how many in room), advil, tylenol, alka selzter, snacks, candy, crackers, something choc. bottle of wine (if i have left over from favors) plus all the info for the weekends events.
I dont want to spend too much either, i have a 60 room block, 40 have booked already and invites havent gone out yet, but i figure i will be doing closer to 60.
