Candy Buffet Anyone?

Candy Buffet Anyone?

Is anyone else doing a candy buffet? I feel like it is super-appropriate for me since I'm getting married on Halloween LOL but I wanted to see if anyone else is doing it.

Any ideas on where to get those giant glass candy jars?

I'm undecided if I'm doing one or not but I think they are so cute. You can get the glass jars from ac moore or michaels

I want to do one.....actually, i want to do alot of things, but this I'm actually really hoping I can make work. In the end it will depend on how much $$ is left. But FH and I are candy fanatics so I feel it's representative of us.

People get the jars at craft stores, i.e. AC Moore, Michaels...or there's also discount wholesalers online (you won't have to lug them home then). Google it, I know I've seen the websites before I just don't remember which ones. Good luck!

I wonder how much it will cost when you add up all the candy, the jars, scoops and bags or boxes to put the candy in? I'm thinking $250-$300 but I could be wayyy off.

I'm doing a candy buffet

I bought about 4 large vases from AC Moore - not as cheap as I hoped, but ok

I found some cool websites for candy at wholesale, as well as old fashion candy
( I dont have websites on hand b/c I'm at work)

But, Costco may be a good idea for candy - didnt even think of that.

I'm still deciding what I will use for scoops - DOES NE ONE HAVE NE IDEAS?

And, also, what type of bags I will supply - DOES NE ONE HAVE NE IDEAS? (I did not want to do the chinese takeout boxes)

omg you have to do it, it would be so perfect for a halloween wedding. I'm jealous.

Make sure your RH allows you to bring in outside food before you buy everything though. I know a few places won't let you do candy buffets b/c of this.

I'm looking at it more as a favor. The table will be out throughout the reception and whenever guests want, they can go over, take a bag or a box (depending on what we use) and fill it up with the candy they want! They don't have to eat it at the reception, they can bring it home!

I will let you guys know this. It is more expensive to do just one color. Me like a fool is doing only red candies. I will upload pics tonight and share with all. I got candies from all over. I made the best choice ever by getting candies that would not spoil from valentine day sales. Take a peek in my DIY album at the lovesavers that will also be given out.
