candy buffet spinoff..

Oh, I read an article somewhere that said you should assume 1lb/2-3 guests. It really depends what size bags you are handing out for the candy, and what kind of guests you have (are they likely to fill the bag or just take a piece)

Also - the article mentioned that you should have at least 10-15 lbs for each type of candy. That way you can fill much larger jars and give the table a more elegant appearance. Otherwise it will look like a kid's table at a Halloween party with many different types of candy scattered around.

So, I am having 140 guest and planning on getting between 50-60 lbs. For that, I will probably only have 4 or 5 types of candy.

I may change my mind later on as I do more research, but that is my game plan right now.
