Candy Table help

I know i'm stuck on the baby shower topic these days but you ladies were so helpful with my wedding planning! I want to incorporate some of these ideas into the baby shower.

I want to do a candy table. Do you have any suggestions on where to get stuff? My sister is having a little girl. I was thinking I can get the containers from Michael's but what about all the color coordinated candies. I've seen pics from some of you ladies and they are phenomenal looking.

Love the idea of color themed candy!!! And pink would be easy to find a whole bunch! If anything, you could always do shades of pink or put some white candies in there, too.

We ordered most of our candy through metrocandy.com and they were really good. Be careful because they have one site that is for commercial use and one site for personal use. It's the same prices (and 10% off the first order) but if you go to the wrong site you have to refill your cart on the right site which is a pain.

We ordered a few things from this site, too- candywarehouse.com! The prices were good but we wanted to order the bulk from metrocandy since we got the 10% off!

If you are thinking about doing cookies and dessert also, there is a fabulous bakery in Brooklyn, that specializes in this type of thing. We are using them for our wedding dessert bar. They are One Girl Cookies.

Brooklyn is a little far for me. What kind of candy did you ladies use for your candy table?

I had a ridiculous amount of not only candy but homemade desserts for the wedding. We had two tables in the back by the DJ booth. There's pics up in my review towards the end, but here's a rough list of what we had:

mini reese’s, hershey’s hugs and kisses, ring pops, pixi stix, jellybeans, gummy bears, Swedish fish, Lindt truffles, Lollipops, Candy necklaces, Gumdrops, Chocolate covered cherries, chocolate covered strawberries, heart shaped brownies, chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered oreos, mini red velvet cupcakes, mini cookies and cream cupcakes, mini cheesecakes, cherry baby cakes, red velvet truffles, tootsie rolls, conversation hearts, rock candy, wax bottles, chocolate liquers, chocolate lollipops and I *think* that’s it.

ETA: We didn't stick to one color scheme. Our colors were black, white, and green and it didn't include any of my fave candies so we went for all different colors.
