Anyone been? I need info about the resort layout! We wanted to know if there are alot of steps, whether there are paths to the beachfront rooms where a wheelchair could be pushes, etc. Thx!

Re: Caneel Bay in St. Johns?
My brother and sister in law went their for their HM and LOVED IT!.
She said it was a pretty flat piece of property, there were steps here and there but the I seen pics of teh beachfront rooms and they are pretty accessible - esp if you do a ground level!
Good luck!

We're returning to Caneel in June--we LOVE it there!! We've booked an oceanfront room. The beaches are absolutely gorgeous and secluded...the place is beautiful!

Can you give me any feedback how much a trip there for my honeymoon would be?

Go to their website www.caneelbay.com. On it, you can see the daily rack rates (just room & continental breakfast) and their packages. They have various meal plans and spa packages. FYI: the most inexpensive room when we went in April last year was $395 a night (room and continental breakfast each day). We're heading back in 63 days!!!!

Thank you so much...Did you go there for your honeymoon? Is there enough to do on the island? Is it honeymoon worthy?

Re: Caneel Bay in St. Johns?
We didn't go for our honeymoon; we went just for a 5 day relaxing, beautiful getaway. Personally, I could honeymoon there, but it's not necessarily for everyone. Every day, we swam, relaxed on the beach, hit Cruz Bay for lunch, and returned to the hotel for cocktails and dinner...that's it :) To me, it was so relaxing and wonderful, but if you want lots of activities, nightlife, etc. it might not be for you. For our honeymoon, we did more of the pampering, luxury-style resort in Hawaii, which was great after all of that wedding planning!! Caneel Bay isn't one of those kinds of resorts.
