Can't believe what I just had to do

Our fridge is totally broken...the coldest its been all week is around 55 degrees. We called the landlord and he directed us to call his repair guy...who took 2 days to get to us. Today he came and supposedly fixed everything...except that tonight I noticed that the fridge is not running at all. Come to find out the freezer was now down as well and all our food was defrosting.

I just threw out almost everything in our fridge...the only things that survived were 4 bottles of wine, 2 jars of jam, a packet of tortillas and some yellow mustard. Thankfully I was able to get most of the contents of our freezer over to my parents (they have an extra full-size freezer in their basement). All told I just threw out well over $100 worth of food...it was so depressing, I almost cried. People are starving and I had to throw out all this food because my landlord has a sh!tty repair guy who can't get to us at a reasonable time. FH is calling them tomorrow to tell them that we need a new fridge ASAP.

This is terrible...I don't know why I'm so depressed over this, but its really heartbreaking to me.

That really scuks! I know what it's like to have to throw away everything in your fridge.

My tard of a DH left the fridge open all night, when we just stocked up for one of the huge snow storms we had earlier this year. I cried like Karen did in Goodfellas when she flushed all of the cocaine the toilet. 'instead of 'they would have found it' I cried 'I can't believe you don't know how to close a refrigerator' I was so upset.
