can't decide on a place!!

I am very torn,

The wedding is absolutely upstate, either The Sagamore in Bolton Landing, near Lake George, or the American Dance Museum in Saratoga.

The Sagamore is BEAUTIFUL, however they are expensive and are nickel and diming me to death!

The Dance Museum reception room needs full decoration, and the cocktail room is gorgeous.

Here's the problem, the Sagamore is all centrally located, it's a resort with the hotel offering rooms, while still expensive, and it's easier to have everything all neatly tied up.
However, the Dance Museum is a better buy, and I get to decorate it to my exact taste.

We are talking about a difference of $10,000.
We have a very big guest list and are hoping to cut it down by going upstate and having something different at the same time.

I just can't decide. I've weighed all the pros and cons, everyone is leaning toward the Sagamore, even though it's more expensive. The only one who is still holding out for the Dance Museum is my mom, who would make the reception room look amazing.

Am I crazy to spend 10 grand more for the ease of the whole thing?

Plus I need to decide by tomorrow or I will go insane! I am already physically ill, I haven't recovered from my trip to Mexico where we got engaged.

Hate to sound like a mom ' but you can do alot with the $10,000' use that towards your H/M or better yet for your home $10,000
is alot of money to spend on a prty just because the place is pretty.. but hey that is just me trying to show the possibilities of havinga beautiful wedding wiouth spending alot...

where in saratoga is the dance museum?
I love the sagamore, its beautiful. I have family up there, and 3 of my cousins work there lifeguarding, waitressing, docking boats etc.

the dance museum is in SPAC the Performing Arts Center.

i am so confused, I would be happy anywhere. FI thinks I am turning ino a psycho and I feel like I am. I snap at everything and everyone. I have to decide.

both places are very pretty

honestly though it is nicer to have everything at one place - i wish i had done a hotel - but i picked a pretty mansion instead- it was more my style then the hotels we had seen

That's the Canfield Casino....not available, nor is the Hall of Springs which is gorgeous...also Saratoga churches do not marry on Sundays...have no idea why, so the dates fill up quickly for Fir and Sat...

We are getting married in Lake Luzerne in my childhood church..my parents have a summer house there and that's where I spent all my summers and weekends.

My poor mom has been so wonderful, now that she's retired she's been investigating for a month! All this without me knowing, she did it before I got engaged, she knew of course.

That's so funny, I wanted to get married at the Bourne Mansion if we got married here! I went to a function there and it was so beautiful.

here is another place in saratoga that is nice - did not go to a wedding there but a fraternity formal and it was very nice

All by myself, we are getting married at the The Sagamore on October 29, 2005 and I got mostly what I wanted.

Huge sigh of relief!

I am positive I will need more advice in the future, and I also work in the wedding industry, I don't really want to say where, but I see a lot that goes on in the wedding indusrty on LI so if you need any help let me know and I will do my best!
