OMG, I was gonna post a story and I SHOULD have b/c you probably would have looked there earlier.
A patient at my moms office called on her way to an appointment once and said she had to stop back home and would be late.
She was making meatballs and took off her rings and legt them on the counter and had remebered acidentally picking up paper towels and throwing them away... her rings were in the paper towels and she bagged up the trash and actually put it out!!
Aa good tip is to always put it the same place. I keep mine in its box in a drawer when Im home and not wearing it. When i go somewhere, a hotel or something, I bring the box in my purse adn put the ring in there when Im not wearing it. Like when Im sleeping. That way i always know its in the box. I am neurotic with it.

OMG! That is so great you found it....did you tell your FH? Was it the messy garbage or just the paper garbage? Makes me think of the last Rock of Love episode where the girls' challenge was to find Bret's guitar pick in a dumpster of nasty nasty trash.....

WOW.. good thing you found it... FYI- I have my ring insured on my homeowners insurance. You can insure it there or I think even on your auto insurance plan (mine is through Geico).

karabara - I did tell my FH. Other than a few harmless jokes, he didn't seem too bothered. However, if his wedding ring ends up in the garbage I would probably cry and think that he doesn't want me anymore.
minibride08 - I am calling Geico tomorrow! It is very dumb that I did not insure my ring yet.
