Can't get over it

Can't get over it

My wedding and honeymoon is over and went almost perfectly!! (posting a review as soon as i sort through the pics).

I'm happy with how everything went but just can't get over the fact that a couple friends on my husband's side RSVPed yes to the wedding and then either cancelled the week before ( of course we can't do anything to change our headcount by then) or NEVER showed up! without any explanation, excuse, or whatsoever. Not to mention a gift. It's been two weeks and more and they haven't even called! I just can't believe it! And we are over our minimum headcount which meant we paid like $200 bucks per head for these rude mindless idiots who never bothered to show up.

I was giving hubby a tough time about it but i guess it's not really his fault either. I don't eve want to see these people again.

Am i over reacting?? I feel like since everything else went perfectly I shouldn't be caught up on this. but i just can't get over it somehow

some people really just dont get it!! like if you rsvp yes to a wedding you NEED to be there!!

we had a few no shows the day of, and about 3 people who cancelled 3 days before!

This happened to us. We had all and imean, a table, of friends cancel on us because they booked a vacation and dint realzie

So, we lost a table...and a few friends...and although i should be upset... I wasn't at all because I know real friends wouldnt have done it...

Plus, the past is the past. And we cant live in it because it only makes us weak..take it from me... just let it go

I can TOTALLY see where you are coming from.

Personally I would def distance myself from them.

BUT I wouldn't give the hubby grief over it, considering he is probably annoyed and upset over it too.

it is what it is. Can't do anything about it.... so don't harp on it and do your best to move on. Don't let it bring you down anymore than it already has. It's not worth it. Like I said just distance yourself from the no good people and count your blessings.

Sorry!!

I have a feeling I mgiht be in your boat in a few weeks. Just know that not everyone is decent... and also not every decent person is decent all the time.
