cant rain today!!!

does any1 have any suggestions on an alternate place to have my engagement photos taken if it rains later? I live in nassau, but just in case it rains what do you girls suggest?

If your photog would be willing to go into the city, I've seen some cool pictures at Grand Central Station.

we were going to do them outside in a park but now im trying to figure out where else we could take them if it really starts to rain. Are there any places with tunnels ? i see a lot of people take there pics in tunnels? haha we're getting them at 6 and thats wehn its suppose to start raining. I gotta go out for 2 hours but let me know if any1 has any suggestions. I need all the help i can get. thanks!

I can't think of any place with tunnels, but there is a gazebo in Garden City. I think it's on Stewart Ave. near the Garden City Hotel.

I don't know about the policy for taking professional photos, but maybe try calling an old fashioned ice cream parlor to see if they'll let you take pictures. You could do some cute shots of you and FH sitting at the counter sharing a milk shake or something (an '08 bride had something similar at Milleridge Village. I think her user name is mikeandjess). There's an ice cream parlor in Williston Park on Hillside Ave. (Hildebrandt's), but I'm sure there are others.

Does Chateau Briand have any indoor areas for photos? They may not have an event going on since it's a weekday. Maybe they'd let you take pics there on short notice.

That's a really good idea! There's a couple of other old time ice cream parlors on LI- there's Kirsch's Confectionary in Massapequa and Itgens in Valley Stream (Itgens is my personal favor! SO cute... it's family run and the owners are so friendly!)
