can't win

Just put a nice amount of money into our wedding account. Now I get a phone call from FH that he rear ended somebody. Everyone is ok which is good but his car is not. Just when I thought we were ahead something else happens.

Thanks girl, very happy that no one was hurt. FH said he pretty sure it not totaled and he has insurance so hopefully money wise it should not be to terrible.

Same here- we just can't seem to catch a break. Haven't been able to sell my car yet and that's about $4-5,000 we can use. Neither one of us is able to pick up extra work for cash.
Once the wedding is done we will be fine again, but right now, we boh feel like we are struggling at times

yepp- now that the holidays are over we were supposed to get back on track with saving for the wedding and FH did the same thing, rear-ended someone who stopped short in the middle of the road...

I feel the same way. Jan. 1st we were supposed to be right back on track with saving and we made a whole budget plan and what we're putting away. Dec. 27th I fell and sprained my ankle; now I have a blood clot in my leg and spent the last 4 days in the hospital and I'm out of work through the month. And to top it all off, I can't even get disability because I started a new job last month. ugh! It's always something.

It's always important to just remember it could be worse! I'm happy to hear your FH is okay and it'll be okay, just have to keep going!

it really is always something but if you could save up a chunk to put into your wedding, you know how to manage your money which is rare! congrats on that at least!
