Cape Cod Wedding, LI Reception

I am having a small wedding in Cape Cod this coming summer at the Wequassett Inn (www.wequassett.com). We have only invited immediate family, which turned out to be 40 people.

My parents want to throw a reception back on LI for all our friends and family (approx. 150-200 guests) that aren't invited to the Cape. I want to keep it casual, but still elegant. We want to have this 'party' in either September or October 2007. Any suggestions? Please help.

What area on Long Island are you looking?

That's so weird, my friend got married in Cape Cod in June!! Small world!!!!

And my friend got married in Chatam last year at the Chatham Inn, too!

I'm trying to think of where would be casual but elegant. Maybe something by the water..like Chateau La Mer, the Riviera, Bridgeview Yacht Club, Snapper Inn or the Venetian Yacht Club. It's kind of hard to balance elegant and casual for such a large party that isn't catering hall style...that I can think of anyway. Oh! What about the vineyards? Or Montauk? Or is that too far?
