I have been there for Banquet Dinners but never a wedding reception. The view was beautiful and the food was good.. The bathrooms are so so for a wedding but that's not what counts. It will be a great reception.
Congratulations!

I am gettting married there. We've been to dinner there soooo many times. Everything was always great-top of the line! Also, FH sister got married there and everyone raved. It doesn't get much hype on here but if people know it, they always say positive things about it.

I went to a wedding there in January. The place and the food were great. The only thing that bothered me was that when the bride and groom were saying their vows they stood in front of a large window and it was 3 pm and the sun was in everyones face which made it difficult to see the ceremony. That is not really the halls fault but just that keep in mind if your having your ceremony there

We went to a wedding there two years ago in May. It looked beautiful, but I would not have my wedding there unless it was late June, July or August. The cocktail hour was in a tent out the back of the main room and it was freezing! Every girl was wearing their mate's suit jacket. The food wasn't that memorable, but I remember thinking that the cocktail hour was lame - there were only three or four stations of food (one of them being cheese and crackers only) and the bar being a tiny thing set up in the corner with only one bartender. The bridal suite is upstairs - so make sure when they make their entrance that everyone is careful because two groomsmen stumbled/slipped down the stairs.

This couple could have cheapened out with their package - but the only thing that stands out is the beauty of the room and hte cold cocktail hour. I hope it has improved since then.

I am getting married there in September. Maybe it's because I am the bride, but I have heard pretty much only great things about it.

I am going to have an extra bar set up at the cocktail hour though since our guest list is mostly friends and younger people.

We had my Grandmas suprise 80th bday there and it was great. It was a buffet brunch on a weekend. I loved it. I thought the place was very nice and clean. I remember I liked the bathrooms, but I tend to remember odd things like that. It was great. Good luck to you

I went to a wedding there in early June of 2002 - I had never been to the facility before. The weather was perfect so people were able to go outside onto the deck during the cocktail hour.

I LOVED the place. The reception was in the Bayview house (I think that was the name) and it was gorgeous. I dont remember too much about the food but I know that I liked everything I ate. There was PLENTY of food a the coctail hour - pasta station, carving station, probably something else - and lots of passed food. Oh yeah, there were plates of desserts put on every table in addition to the wedding cake, which was a really nice touch. . . and i think the bride and groom opted to have a cordials/espresso bar. I'm not a coffee drinker, but it was a nice touch.

It was a large wedding (maybe 250 or so) but it didnt feel crowded at all.

I wish I knew someone who was getting married there because I'd really like to go back - you made a GREAT choice!

Thank you, that is SO good to hear - I am having about 220 and people kept telling me it would be too crowded!! I was getting nervous!!!

Re: Captain Bill's

no need to be nervous - I clearly remember it was a really big wedding because I was at table number 26 or something like that - and there were TONS of tables - but space was NOT a problem at all.
