I've been to a wedding there, and I am having my rehersal dinner there. The wedding was very nice. The dance floor was nice and big. The day was a little rainy, so we were all in the covered part where the cocktail hour was, so it was a little crowded, but I enjoyed the wedding and the bride was very happy with it as well.
One of my BMs went to a wedding there last year. She said the food is great and the service was wonderful. I think it is a beautiful reception site.
I have been there for other functions and the food and service have always been very good.
I am getting married there next year. I live close by and we go there frequently for dinner and the food is great. The room is beautiful and I''ve heard great things about weddings there. You should check it out.
Thanks all. I looked at it and loved the room and location. I just was not sure about the food. But I guess it is good, all I hear is good feedback.
My friend got married at The Bayview House (same owners as Captain Bills, located right next door) and I was in the wedding party. The place is beautiful and the service was great. The food was excellent as well. From what I remember, the price was pretty good too. It was one of the best weddings I have ever been to and I have nothing to but great things to say about the hall. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask! :)
Did your friend put the bayview house on her invitations. I am not sure if I like the name Captain Bills for my reception on my invitations?
I attended a wedding there last year (in the bayview house), and was very impressed. The food was delicious and the reception area was quite elegant. It rained that day, so the cocktail hour was in the enclosed tent area. I love the staircase in there, and when they were all announced, they came down the stairs - it was truly a 'grand' entrance! I believe they wrote Captain Bills on their invites, but personally I would have written Bayview House. We wound up walking into the wrong restaurant at first, so putting Bayview House would have made it less confusing! Good luck!
My coworker had her reception there on 9/16/01(yes right after 9/11) It was great, she was thrilled. Most of her bridal party was from out of town so they couldn't make it but it wasn't obvious. I think Cpt Bills did a really great job making her happy in such a sad situation. The outdoor cocktail area was nice(but small).By the way she planned in less than six months. Good Luck!
Hi!
Yes, my friend put The Bayview House on the Invitation. That is the true name of the hall, even though Captain Bills owns it. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Good luck!
