Car Names

Does anyone name their cars? I have in the past but no name has come to me in almost 3 years for this car- its a 2001 Nissan Sentra. My old gran prix boat car was - gee I forgot ( I know it was a revlon lipstick color), and my '78 puck green BMW was Christine- that car had some electrial problems.

ETA: It came to me- Bali (a shade of brown- the same as the car)

Re: Car Names

Nora, this is too funny b/c I just got a VW Jetta a few weeks ago & somehow he has become known as Mr. Fritz (due to his German ancestry). ;-)

I had a Grand Prix in a Hunter Green that I got on Christmas Eve & she ended up named Holly.

My first car was a 90 Toyota Celica in an ice blue and was lovingly called the Dolphin.

My parents' had a 77 Grand Prix that lasted & lasted & soon became known as the Classic.

I have a VW Jetta and I named him Dieter because of his German roots.

My old Toyota Corolla was the 'Blue Scoobie,' aptly named after the band we saw playing in a bar the first night we took it out on the town!

Re: Car Names

My very firdt car was a huge 1989 lincoln LSC and I named her Betsy.
When she would stall out I would chant her name to try and get her to start back up.

Re: Car Names

Gray 86 Chrysler LeBaron - Oscar (becuse i got it from my grandfather and he is a grouch)

White 88 Ford Thunderbird - Simon (because i love that name)

Gray 89 Plymouth Sundance - Prudence (becuase i wanted to think of a name that people would give me strange looks for)

Yellow 03 Beetle - Noodle (because it sounds really funny if you say it over and over and over again)

I always name my cars......

Re: Car Names

My first car, a 1980 lime green Plymouth Volare with no radio and a button for the horn was called ''THE GUB' because it was the first three letters of the license plate and it was very appropriate.

Then my other car was just my baby and my Saturn now is Bessie, because the license plate is BES and its a cute name!

Re: Car Names

My friend named his car Harry...Har for short. And his fiance named hers but I forgot the name.

I can't think of a name for mine. I don't see it as a gender so I can't name it.
