Car rental in Key West

DH and I are going Marlin Fishing in Key West, is it necessary to rent a car? Everything seems pretty local, I was thinking of just renting bikes TIA

i just love key west!!

i've been there a few times, and only once we rented a car..key west itself is only about 4 miles long, so I think the best thing, and the most fun is to just rent mopeds...they will get you wherever you have to go!!

just make sure you always lock them up!!

thanks..have you gone fishing there? so far it is just the 2 of us, so we can't afford to charter a boat, maybe just buy seats

If you are staying right in town near Duval St. I wouldn't rent a car. You can walk just about everywhere. I love Key West!!!! Have fun!

thanks, we were going to go this summer, but I moved it up I don't want to be in the mist of hurricane season, so we are doing it for our anniversary(an early gift)
