Car starter???!??!

I know my FH wants a remote car starter. Any suggestions on where to go and what brand?? HELP!! I want to go tomorrow! Thanks!!!

Usually alarm places install remote car starters.

Be careful- if he has a new(er) car, it will most likely void his warantee if its not done by the dealer.

Im so sad I cant get one b/c they want $$$ and I still have 30k miles b4 my warantee is up.

I'm not sure where you live... but if you live in eastern suffolk, i just had it done by C & C Electronics in Watermill. I brought my boyfriends truck in to surprise him and he installed it in 2 hours.

FH is putting mine in (he is certified to work on all type of cars & diesel trucks). We just decided on a remote car starter this week since I just can't take sitting in the car in the cold waiting for the heat to kick in.

We are in BK but if you need a recommendation I can ask him for LI places. He has a guy in Queens that he recommends a lot too. He will want to know what type of car you have (brand and model).

There are ones now that do not void any warranties. There are a few places on OldCountry Rd in Westbury that do them.

I got mine at PC Richards last year. FH and I were there earlier today b/c his sister wants one for Christmas. They have one on sale for $179 including installation. Definitely a good deal! You should check it out. (Not only that, if you haggle with the salesman long enough he could give you more of a discount )

I got mine at that car stereo place near Smithaven Mall. It's on Middle Country Road in Lake Grove. I think it was less than 200, and the guy was very nice and installed the same day, and it still works so I guess they did a good job!

a lot of times you need to give up an extra key - so keep that in mind - they need the chip out of the key and they put it in the car

i am getting this for my dad but i have to order an extra key first -

i just called best buy and they told me what i would need for my car - including what i would give- very straight foward

circuit city is also good
