so , i was going to make my own, that didnt work out. I saw the card boxes in Michaels and they were 40-45$. Upon walking out of the store i saw differnet boxes in different sizes with all sorts of designs on them. The picture above is the only thing i can find that comes close to what it looks like.
Should i just put this out with a slot in it for the cards? Or should i add ribbon to it or something?
Any ideas?

how about getting nice wrapping paper and wrapping the box with a slit cut in the middle. i think that's what i'll do for my cardbox. i was going to take a cardboard box, cut a slit in the middle and cover it with wrapping paper.

The box already has a floral dsign on it and it goes perfect with my green and ivory theme color. It is a nice box and i wouldn't want to cover it up. I just thought maybe if it would be too much to add anything else to it, since it has that design all over it already.

you could cut the slit in the top of it, and then put ribbon or lace around the slit to cover the bare cardboard. I would suggest wrapping a ribbon around it though so that it cannot be opened easily...

Arts & crafts stores also have unfinished wood containers & unfinished paper mache containers you can decorate to your theme. You can see mine in my album.

Make sure that your box is tall enough to accept cards otherwise they won't go through no matter how wide the slit is on top.

You could use my idea and use the trunks that they have there @ Michaels. Only drawback is when one puts in an envelope they have access to the others but I trust my guests...and daddy is guarding it lol

Future_Farrell i dont that box needs too much more embellishments. the print on it should be sufficient. if anything maybe a plain ribbon or bow.

I love that box, I almost got the same one, but my MOH, talked me out of it, cause she ended up making me one I think the ribbon will be in a nice touch though, and make it look very pretty
