Have any of you ladies seen different types of 'card boxes' that are not in the shape of a box/ or a cake?
At one wedding I went to the girl had a sillouette of a bride with a wedding dress.. and you put your cards in a slit on the side of the wedding dress.. it was really cool/different.. Got me thinking of other ideas!
Any suggestions?

thats really cool!! I like it! yeah like that was kinda what was under the 'wedding dress' like an cage in the shape of a womans body!

I plan to buy a photo cardbox, that way I can use it even after the wedding.

my only advice is, if u are to use a card box, make sure its not white and just a square. my bros wedding, they had a white card box, and you would think me of all people would have known it was a cardbox, right? well i thought it was a gift, cuz it was on a gift table with other boxes.. so it blended in.
i know most older people, especially europeans will not put the envelope in thebox. the prefer to hand it directly to the bride/groom.
im def getting a card box.. but its going to be 10ft high and purple with xmas lights (lol jk but it will be purple and huge)

my step mother is really crafty so she made my sister a card box that was really cool.
it was like a wishing well card box. i dont have pics but it was similar to this just with different colors and stuff:
