Which one are you girls doing? I think i'll be leaning more toward the bag-easier to carry. Where do we keep it? on our table? <------------ Clueless

Re: Card box vs. card bag
the bride usually gets stuck carrying the card bag around (atleast that is what I have seen). I am doing a box cuz I feel it is safer and the guests can just go place the gifts there themselves so less people are handling the money. I dont want to be making rounds and have to stop and go place gifts in the box, or give the card to someone else to put it there. plus i need another craft activity to do lol

I already have this cardbox and am so happy i ordered it. Its large enough that people would notice someone walking out with it (god forbid) and it also secure enough that I dont have to worry about anyone's grubby hands getting into it (it comes with a lock and a key to make sure no one gets in and nothing falls out...) A bag is alot less secure than a cardbox...Do you really want to worry about where the bag is, who has it, where are you putting the cards if they dont fit into the bag anymore....

Re: Card box vs. card bag
i am not doing a card box because i have heard way too many stories of envelopes missing, besides 95% of those invited to my wedding will only give their card to the bride & groom.
i have a card bag that my nanny made for me for my communion & since she has passed away i think its a great way of remembering her. i am going to have my dad hold it because he is like a hawk. at times when he is needed (father/daughter) dance one of our friends (a police officer) will be in charge of it.

Re: Card box vs. card bag
I've actually never been to a wedding with a card box
It seems a little impersonal to me...I think we'll probably do a bag, and I'll have my MOH hold it.

We're having a card box. It will be on a table close to our sweetheart table so we can keep an eye on it.

Re: Card box vs. card bag
I am using a bag and I have already had family members offering to hold it for me throughout the night. As much as we aren't looking forward to it, we think it would be rude to not walk around and see/greet all of our guests. Also, we think that a cardbox is a little like an ATM and not very personal.

Re: Card box vs. card bag
I am doing a birdcage. My sisters had bags and they both ended up carrying them the whole night but... the money bags can just be wrapped around your wrist so its almost like when you go to a club and you have to hold on to your purse or wristlet so its not really a big deal to carry them around

I'm doing a card box (ish thing). We're going to buy a dollhouse and make it match my wedding colors, and construct a slit in it.
I don't want to carry a bag, so people can just walk up to the house and put it in. Plus, if someone tries to run out with a dollhouse, I think we'll notice lol

I've also never seen a card box at a wedding. I think I will probably do the bag, but have to talk about it with FH.
