I want to attempt to make a cardbox for my wedding. I do not have artistic bone in my body but I think it would be cool to make one. With that said any suggestions on where to start and what supplies work best. Tia!

The easiest way to do this is to get a regular box, cut a hole in it, then wrap it in a nice fabric (the way you'd wrap a present). Use some kind of ribbon to hide the cut edges around the card slot.
Another easy way to do it is to get a wooden box from Michael's and paint it. Use your wedding colors, or theme-appropriate stencils.

all you really need is a cardboard box...some ribbon, wrapping paper, scissors and tape!
and if you stink at making bows like me...michaels will make it for you, only for about $3
