would it be cheesy to wrap cardboxes in black wrapping paper and a damask pattern wrapping paper? and then decorate it with bling and ribbon?
what are you using to make yours? Fabric is another choice i guess....
i feel like buying all these supplies are going to be just as expensive as buying one on etsy by theweddingmainstreet

Re: cardbox
I don't think it's a bad idea. My only concern would be it ripping.

Re: cardbox
I think it would like fine. I actually have seen damask wrapping paper too. Honestly for me I just priced out all the materials at Michaels and AC Moore and I think Im better off just ordering one and having it look more professional. All of the costs quickly added up, JMO

yeah i am def getting a 3 or 4 tier. Im getting mine from Etsy, most sellers want $75 for a 3 tier and $80 for a 4 tier. Might as well spring for an extra 5 bucks and get the 4 tier !!! They can also make replicas !

What seller are you looking at? That seems affordable. I have seen the 3/4 tiers for like $90

I'm going to use fabric because I am afraid the paper will rip...

Re: cardbox
I am using the left over fabric from my grandmothers wedding gown, from when she got married in the 1940s!!!! She was a seamstress and made her own dress from scratch!
