i saw a bride on here had a Cardbox for Engagement Party.... necessary?

if so, please send links...

I didn't have one either. We just brought a gift bag, and kept it under our table to put the cards/gifts in.

i do not think it is necessary...with that being said, we got one haha....i couldnt resist....i wanted peace of mind that if we were to get envelopes that they would be in safe place...

i had one lol. it was a simple white satin one. we had like 110 people and 95% of the people gave money so we needed one.

We're having a smaller engagment party so I don't think we need one. I'm just going to bring a bag.

If you are having a large engagement party it might be helpful.

The only thing is, someone might feel uncomfortable if they didn't bring you something!

I didn't have one. Looking back...it probably isn't a bad idea to have one.

We thought we lost 2 evelopes....one was from FHs grandparents and had $500 in CASH & the other was from FH's uncle. We just thought that his grandma forgot to put it on the gift table b/c she's old. I dunno who puts $500 in cash anywaym but that's besides the point.

3 weeks after the party, one of my BMs found the 2 envelopes in the back seat of my car!
ETA: It must have fallen out of a bag that had the envelopes in it.
We purposely didn't register before our eparty bc we wanted to get money. So if I had it to do over again, I would have gotten a card box b/c we had alllll envelopes.

I don't think it's necessary...besides, most ppl get gifts off your registry for the e-party
