Cardboxes

Are you making your cardbox, or having it made? I am not much of a DIYer, so I think I am going to buy one. Where do I find a really cute one?

I am 95% sure I'm going to buy one, because I don't have the energy to DIY.

I'm debating between the modern bride and the perfect card box. The modern bride is definitely 'cuter', but it's a one shot deal never going to use it waste of money type deal, whereas the perfect card box is actually able to be used again and can be used for home decor as well.

I am most likely going to make it. I have been thinking about how I want them to look... and I think i can do a good job on it... We shall see though!

My MIL made mine. You can check mine out in my album. Maybe someone you know who is crafty would be willing to help you make one? I think with everything the total cost was about 50 bucks.

I want to make one. But DIY stuff can get overwhelming so I might give in and buy one.

I am making my own and I have been waiting for nice weather because I have to spray paint my boxes because they are kind of dark and you will be able to see the color through the fabric. I did the first box in my house which wasn't the brightest idea. I thought I was going to pass out from the fumes lol. It's either too cold or raining all the time. Maybe Sunday... Anyway I know some girls have gotten there card boxes from modern bride and they come out really nice. That is my back up plan.

I made my own.. but forthemodernbride.com sells them but they are really expensive, IMO

We're talking about getting The Perfect Card box, particularly since it has a lock on it. But FH thinks he can make it himself, that scares me a little. I mean he is talented and can build whole walls, but he lacks in creativity.

I am getting mine totally customized from a girl I know!!! And it's HALF the price of the ones from Ebay!!

I used a simple one that the reception hall provided. I decided to put the extra $100 someplace else.

I got a great idea from another LIWedding.com'er
I bought a white aluminum mailbox from Walmart... i am adding lettering to say The Vera's
Est 3-15/09 on one side.
One theother side i am putting Just married..
I may decorate it a little more.. but it will be cute for people to go up and stick the cards in our mailbox....
