Cardio

For all of you that do alot of cardio - how do you keep up your motivation? If I am doing the treadmill or any other cardio machine - I am bored out of my mind within 15 minutes.
Please help!!!

Also, I do interval training for 20 minutes at a time, where you start at a certain level and then up it every minute for four minutes straight and then go back down to the original level, like this (I'm in the UK so the treadmill is in kilometers):

minute 0-1: 9.5 kmh (warm up)
1-2: 10 kmh
2-3: 10.5 kmh
3-4: 11 kmh
4-5: 11.5 kmh
5-6: 10 kmh

and so on, until you get to minute 17 and then I run hard for two minutes straight (ie 12 kmh) and for the last minute, I go back down to 10 kmh as a cool down.

The minute intervals help to keep me motivated, because I'm always thinking 'Just one more minute'. Also, and this is going to sound strange, but I do a lot of math in my head regarding my speed and my distance I'm a weirdo, I know, but it takes my mind off the fact that I'm going to die any second

Re: Cardio

I second interval training.

I do 400meter increments:
-walk at a steep incline
-run (moderate-fast pace) at no incline

repeat for total of 2-3 miles depending on the day.

Re: Cardio

I try to do things that don't always require me to be at a gym, and that seems to work. Then, if I miss a day at the gym, I know I still got in some healthy and calorie-burning time!

I mean, I go to the gym, but sometimes I do stuff that i just enjoy... Like take an hour long walk by the water (it won't be that cold once you're walking!) or horseback riding or dancing - whatever, just something different and enjoyable.
