caribbean fare

hi,
we are going to incorporate caribbean food
in our post-nuptial party since we are eloping.
my fiance are having a debate about
entrees..he thinks we should keep things plain which i think is boring..

would you eat any of these ?

jerk chicken
grilled snapper with coconut rice/mango salsa

grilled sirloin or prime rib (we opted not to make it tropical)

any suggestions ?

party is end of june....so it will be summerlike

Re: caribbean fare

Can I make a suggestion? Throw in some jamaican beef patties in there too. Oooh, and some oxtail stew. Im hispanic, but I LOVE caribbean food!!!

ETP - yes, I would eat all that food except the fish. Im not big on that. But it sounds like a stellar menu!!

Re: caribbean fare

I would eat the jerk chicken and the beef. Just make the chicken mild and have a great spicy sauce on the side. I lived on that stuff when I was in Jamaica. I second the idea of beef patties, you should have them during your CH.

YES! GET IT!

I'm getting KOSHER jerk chicken at my CH. If you can do it, go for it!

And beef patties!
