okk... well FH have been to almost half of the middle east, and some of europe
but we've never really gone anywhere in to the Caribbean, are the islands very different apart? i mean is St.Kitts really different from Turks and Caicos and is that drastically diff from the Grenadines, how do i find out which one is the 'best' ?
any recommendations
well i'd like to stay at a place where the food is great, beautiful beaches, kind of quiet [dont want lots of nightlife] and just something romantic, warm....

My recommendations would be: Caneel Bay on St. John (St. John only has 2 resorts on the island; much of the island is protected national park--definitely a quieter island). I'd also recommend looking into the British Virgin Islands (check out traveltalkonline.com). Peter Island and/or Virgin Gorda (see Little Dix Bay resort) might be right up your alley too! If quiet is a main priority, I'd avoid islands like St. Thomas, Aruba, etc. Many islands are very built up and busy. Happy planning!

you could always do a cruise in the caribbean! I have done that many times and it's great because you get to see a little of a bunch of islands.

i would not avoid aruba at all considering half the people there are honeymooners.....go with the style that best fits you and your fh

Antigua is supposed to be very beautiful and quiet. It is a good honeymoon location. FH's dad works for American Airlines and has been to almost EVERY caribbean island. He suggested that to us for our honeymoon. I would look into it.

The islands are all different. They all have a different 'flavor' to them. Def read and look at pics on tripadvisor. Decide what kind of resrt you want. Small, large, All inclusive. Also figure out budget. Some islands are much more expensive than others. I have done sooo much research for our honeymoon and FH and I are sooo indecisive so I really ahev looked into almost all of them. Feel free to FH me if you have any questions and I may know something that will help you.
PS- all my friends say I should be a travel agent cus I research places all day at work when Im not on Liweddings. :) Haha but I don't have a clue about how to go about becomming one.

ive been to St thomas. stayed at the Ritz Carlton. It has the most amazing pool! when you are on one end of it looking at the ocean the pool water looks like it is going into the ocean. great place!!
What is nice about it is that you can take the ferry over to St John for the day. St. John is very small. You can drive the island in an hour or so. which was totally fun!!!
if anyone goes to St thomas..go eat at ROMANOS!!! AWESOME!! and stop at the Love Shack!!!
after that we went to Puerto Rico.. just an awesome vacation.. want to do it again!

I love PUnta Cana in the Dominican Republic. The beaches are beaufitul - especially Bavaro Beach and there are so many new resorts there. If real affordable too compared to a lot of the smaller islands.
