I really need to book my honeymoon soon, since I'm getting married in June, but me and FH are being very indecisive! We're looking for somewhere with good snorkeling on the beach on the resort property, and a nice beach (not too too much seaweed/cloudy water) in June. I've been reading reviews on trip advisor and it seems that a lot of places don't have very good snorkeling right on the beach on the property. We don't want to have to rent a car to drive to a beach.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Anyone been to a place in the caribbean with good snorkeling?
Thanks!!

Not true! I go to the USVI and BVI every summer from the months of June to August and it is the best time to go. Less crowded the water is super clear the weather is hot. My favorite is Virgin Gorda - very clear water and spectacular coral life. You can not go wrong with any USVI or BVI islands!

Caneel Bay on St. John has the most beautiful beaches and great snorkeling. No TVs or phones in the room, though, and this wouldn't be a place you'd go to be waited on hand and foot--but it is incredibly beautiful and we're going back in June :)

What about a cruise, that way you can visit several islands in the Caribbean

I went on a southern caribbean cruise Feb '06 and there was great snokeling on St Thomas (we went to a private beach by boat though-not sure how it is by resorts) and Aruba. The snorkeling in Aruba was literally right off the beach where all the resorts are. Aruba was the best stop on the cruise by far!

Couples resorts in Jamaica don't have the best snorkeling on the property, but included in your trip is going out with staff on a boat to nearby reefs.

If you plan to books on, like this week, I know Secrets Excellence in the Dominican republic was having a sale. We booked through Liberty Travel and cost us $2,100 for two people including airfare at a FABULOUS 4 1/2 star resort.
We went to the one in Cancun last June and it cost us about $3,700 for both of us! It was wnderful-rained 5 of the 7 dayas but the hotel was so beautiful and luxurious we didn't even care. Its all-inclusive and adults only.
If you want snorkeling, have you considered Mexico? I know they have great scuba diving off Cozumel but Im pretty sure they have snorkeling there as well. Bahamas is also supposed to have beautiful reefs if you are st on the Carribean.

Are you limited to the Caribbean? If not then I would suggest Egypt...snorkeling in the Red Sea is AMAZING!
