we are house hunting in carle place.. i heard the school district is pretty good. seems like a nice area.. good shopping too! stay away from westbury school district. a friend of mine had a hard time selling of his house because of SD (westbury)

Carle Place has a good district. It's teeny tiny though, grades 7-12 are in the same building with the same teachers, but I've heard good things.

it's a very small town. that's all I know. I think the schools are right next to each other also. it's a nice good area. I used to hang out there all the time when I was younger. def safe and all that.

I grew up in CP and love it! The town is only 1 square mile so we are teeny tiny, but it is central to everything so very convenient. I think the schools are great though they may have changed a bit since I was there 14 years ago. I am the oldest of 6 children so the younger ones are still attending the high school and seem to like it. CP is a really tight knit town - so if that is something you don't want then don't look here! Overall, I think it is a great place to live. I am so glad my parents have raised us all there. I have a hard time leaving - we moved to Westbury only 5 minutes away. Let me know if you have other questions and I will do my best to answer!

I teach in Carle Place. It's a great town and school district. It's very small and quaint. Many people grow up there, buy houses there, and raise their kids there.

I graduated from Carle Place SD
Carle PLace SD consists of all of Carle Place (which is just one square mile), a small little part of mineola , and part of westbury...
The district smallest on the island. All 3 schools k-2, 3-6, and 7-12 share the acreage. Average class size when i graduated 6 years ago was b/w 100-105. i think its up to 105-110 now...So in other words, you know EVERYONE!!!!!Many teachers there actually went to school there. No one ever moves! kids go to school, get married, then send their kids there Seriously, many teachers i had taught my friends parents or were friends with the parents back in the day 0ver 90 percent go on to higher education MANY AP and honors classes MANY sports and activites
town carle place is a little older. houses are smaller but many are being dormered...taxes are around 7k
westbury/cp schools i live here...beautiful. newer houses, bigger lots but my parents taxes are around 10k

I grew up in Carle Place , & I lived there for 30 years... Would never had moved had my parents not divorced & sold their house,,
The sd is phenominal.,, The schools are basically based on one huge property central to the town itself. Its k-2 3-6th is elementary 6&7th is the jr high 8-12 is hs,,
the schools are small , its like a lil mayberry , i loved growing up there , if you can find a house for under $600 good luck & buy it,, Its hard to find a house there that is under $600 nowadays,,
