Is anyone getting marries at the carltun or carltun on the sound? I wanted to see some pics but the website pics are not very clear. Has anyone tasted the food? Thanks

I am getting married at the Carltun but I also looked at Carltun on the Sound. I did not like Carltun on the Sound only b/c the cocktail hour room was downstairs and if I remember correctly there was no elevator for the older guests. However the view from the main room was great. I also did not like the BM I met with and could not have worked with them. Let me know if you have other questions though

the carltun is gorgeous and i visited the carltun on the sound, i also didnt like that cocktail hour was downstairs and the view was nice from the reception room, but you saw a parking lot, then the ocean. but thats jsut my opinion. they were also a lil bit more than i wanted to spend and you have to pay for valet parking where most places include that in the price. but the room overall is gorgeous!!!!

Well I am getting married at Carltun on the Sound on 7/3/06 and there is only 1 wedding @ a time, so I guess that may help your decision.

I loved the view from inside, and didn't care it wasn't 'on' the water. It looks like a cruise ship from inside.

i am getting married at the Carltun. It is a beautiful space although I haven't yet tasted the food. It is pricey..but we just loved the atmosphere. Debbie

Another Carltun bride here! I was just there yesterday for a meeting and the place is magnificent! We've eaten there many times (including at randella's wedding) and the food is always awesome!

I am a Carltun Bride!!!! Love the place. The food is amazing there... it is a little pricey but it is worth it.

Sat night in June/July price is $210pp and I think they require I minimum of 185-200. I can't remember which. I'm having friday night because we couldn't afford sat night hehe. The place is amazing, classy, elegant and the food is FABULOUS! Every vendor I see says it is the best place on long island!
