Carlyle brides

Hello Carlyle girls! What kind of flowers are you using? I'm still torn between using mostly white flowers in the centerpieces and using colors. I still have time, but I don't know what will look good in the ballroom.
Any suggesions/ideas?

My sister in law used white flowers, and while they looked great in the beginning, they were definitely turning kind of brown after a couple of hours. I don't know if it was because it was a particular flower or what, but she was wishing afterwards that she had gone with some color.

I am doing colors. That room is sooo white to begin with, I felt the flowers would just blend in too much if all white. On the other hand, it would be a very elegant effect... I don't think you can go wrong in that room!!!

What colors and types of flowers are you using? Are your centerpieces going to be raised or low? Thanks!

My centerpieces are going to be high. My bridesmaid's dresses are burgandy, and for their bouquets and the centerpieces we are using a mix of colors, mainly lavendar, pink, and cream - which match well. What colors are your girls wearing?

My bridesmaids are wearing mocha, and its a fall wedding... but my problem is that I'm not a huge fan of all the fall colors. I like the way white looks, but I'm afraid it will be too boring, and now I'm not sure what colors I should use! Your colors sound beautiful. I think they will look great in the ballroom and the cocktail area!

What florist are you using? I had no idea what colors I was going to use before meeting with the florist. I ended up hiring the one who seemed to make the best suggestions to me based on my BM dresses and my opinions. I showed her the fabric swatch, and she brought out all sorts of flowers that we played with until we came up with a grouping of colors I liked. I would have never come up with those colors on my own If you haven't chosen your florist yet, I'd obviously suggest meeting with mine since I loved her so much hehehe - Her name is Marie and she is at In Full Bloom. (Very close to the Carlyle, and very neighborhoody feeling -- personalize attention and such...) Best of Luck!!!

OMG In six weeks I'll be able to tell you how my flowers looked! LOL

We're using Flowers by Florissima in Huntington. I guess I should get some ideas from them. I definitely want to hear all about your wedding when you get back! I met Marie, at In Full Bloom --she seemed great! I'm sure she'll do a great job with your wedding flowers! You must be getting so excited, its so close!! Whats your date?

Did you work with Aubert at Florissima, or someone else? I went there too They seemed very good.

Re: Valenia

Yes, we met with Aubert! He seemed so creative, and he really really seemed to know the Carlyle inside and out, so I felt really good about using him. For some reason, flowers were the most drawn out part of planning this wedding! We decided on everything else so quickly, and finally booked the florist just now... less than 5 months before the wedding! Is your wedding a daytime or night time one? Just curious because of the flower colors and the lighting. I'm obsessed!

My wedding is daytime, hence the bright colors. As long as you are having fun, being obsessed is a good thing!
