I know it seems like a lot but I would appreciate youe help....
How many stations did you have at the cocktail hour?
Which one's?
Did you do the Duet course or an appetizer and salad or intermezzo?
Did you add anything else... seafood extras or anything of the kind?
Did you have the martini bar-- if so, what was it like and where was it set up?
Were there cocktail stations in the foyer or just in the main room?
Did you have one beverage server for each table or two?
Did you consider or do the Brandy-Cigar Hour?

How many stations did you have at the cocktail hour?
Which one's?
We Had Six Stations:
Fresh Garden Crudite & Tuscan Table (that's all the Italian meat, cheese, etc) Pasta Station with Ala Vodka, Garlic & Oil, and Putanesca Sauce Carving Station with Pastrami w/ assorted Mustards and Pineapple Glazed Ham. Peking Duck & dumpling station Hot Seafood Bar Mashed Potato Bar (this was the BIGEST Hit)
Did you do the Duet course or an appetizer and salad or intermezzo?
We did the Duet Course- Frisee & Pear Salad w/ gorgonzola cheese, crisply pecans in a port wine vinaigrette (we found that people were SO STUFFED from the cocktail hour that we didn't need to do separate salad and appetizer).
Did you add anything else... seafood extras or anything of the kind?
No extras- besides we did platters of fruit at the table b/c we did NOT want the viennesse dessert hour.
Did you have the martini bar-- if so, what was it like and where was it set up?
No.. no martini bar... but the bartenders did make quite a few martinis that night (not all my guests are huge fans of them)
Were there cocktail stations in the foyer or just in the main room?
The stations were in the cocktail hour room- the room with the large bar.
Did you have one beverage server for each table or two?
I believe we had 2 servers per table.
Did you consider or do the Brandy-Cigar Hour?
No- not considered- I hate the smell of Cigar and DH is COMPLETELY ANTI SMOKING OF ANY KIND.. so that was out.

Re: Carlyle Brides- Quick Menu Questions
No I don't. We were taking pictures in the ceremony room during the cocktail hour and I had both photographers with me (color & B&W)...
I can tell you that I did see it early that day- and it looked great.. every station was done VERY well... The pasta station had nice displays of dried pasta.. the Peking Duck station had those big rice paper fans- it was very nice, but not 'over the top' and dorky.
Honestly, I wouldn't worry about the cocktail hour- as I've mentioned, my mother is a professional musician and has played at and eaten at every major wedding facility in the Tri-State area... it was on her suggestion and memory that we went to the Carlyle- the cocktail stations and passed hor's were AMAZING- we're still getting complements (especially the mashed potato bar) a year later.

Re: Carlyle Brides- Quick Menu Questions
1) 6 stations 2) crudite w/cheese, fruit breads and assorded stuff, pasta, chinese, slices meats, peeking duck and shishkebob. 3) Duet -- pear and gorgonzola w/ mixed greens. 4) had desert cafe set up in back of room so people didn't have to leave the room and everyone could still dance. They also passed around chocolate covered strawberries. 5) Didn't have the martini bar but requested chocolate martini's to be on the bar (my friend's and I love them). There was no extra charge for that. 6) I think the shishkebob station was in the hall. I remember being surprised when I saw the video since I didn't know that was going to be set up there. 7) No idea. 8) My wedding was during the day so the Brandy- Cigar hour wasn't an option.
