did you get the letter about the decor changes? I booked after that letter was sent and i'm curious to see how much the uplighting is.

I think I might have. We went to visit the hall and saw them but I can't remember the price they gave us for it. We didn't feel it was necessary since our wedding's in the afternoon. Sorry, I can't remember the price! Try calling your banquet manager. I'm sure they would be able to give you the price.

I got married here on Sept 5th. What are the decor changes? I actually got uplighting through my band and it really made a huge difference. The room looked absolutely amazing - it tied everything together.

The drapes and umm.. something else are being changed. Just to a different fabric. They also installed uplighting but apparently it's more $ so i'm trying to decide if im going to do it through them or my DJ.

im getting married there on July 2nd - it is expensive but it makes the place look so nice! i really don't understand why its expensive bc it is already installed???

Here are some pics from my reception at the Carlyle - so you can see the uplighting. I used six amber uplights on each side of the room - they were placed along the main pillars on each side - for a total of 12 uplights. I paid $30/light through my band (they gave me a good deal). Also, if you're interested, I am selling the candelabra centerpieces you see here.
yeah i don't really chat on here - i look at the pics to get ideas - there is another carlyle bride on here have you looked at the new patio?

Nope.. when i booked in Jan they didn't start building it yet. They are also adding in a gazebo off the main room.

Hi, all just catching up! The backlighting in those pics looks really pretty. Thanks for posting those. I am working with Sue so I will ask her about that, I have only really heard it mentioned on here. I keep forgetting to ask my parents if they received any notification about the lighting. My band offers the lighting too so I guess I am going to have to figure out what both offer and decide which to use.
As for the chairs, I am not thrilled with them. A bit dated and wont match my colors, so I will probably be switching them out for silver chivari chairs. Carlyles chairs are larger and more comfortable, so I am still a bit torn. I thought about chair covers but really like the look of the chivari chairs.
