I've read that this place is good for groups. WHat do you ladies think about going here for the start of a bachelorette party? My MOH sent me a link and asked me what I thought.

i WORK at carmines [91st]! (well, i stopped cause my full time job was getting very demanding, but it's like i work there, they all me there! )
carmines is loud and is meant to be a family restaurant, meaning the portions are ginormous. def a good place to get together if you're getting wild and crazy afterwards i can reccommend everything you'd want to eat there, it's really good!

my FH's family actually owns Carmines. I never saw it as a bachelorette type place. they do have a private room tho, so it's good to use that for dinner then head off to some place else after.

Since Carmine's is a family-style restaurant, I think it's a good place to start off bachelorette party night.

I'm going there this coming Saturday for my bachelorette party. I've eaten there many times the food is awesome and yes it is a good place for large parties. You won't regret it!!!

I agree the place is good for groups. Its family style Italian food. I have actually only eaten there for Thanksgiving, so i wasn't having actual italian food, but what I did have was very good! I don't see why it wouldn't be a good place to jump start the night! Its the kind of place you can get away with being loud at.

So much fun !! The food is awesome and it's perfect for groups. It's a bit pricey but it's Times Square so you have to expect that. You have to get the Titanic for dessert.....so delicious. Make sure no one is on a diet when you go there

The one I went to was uptown somehwere- it wasn't near times square at all. It didn't seem touristy when i was there. Maybe on the west side? i can't remember.

I LOVE carmines but the wait can take FOREVER on weekends regardless if you have a reservation.
THeres another place in the city that is GREAT for bachelorette parties, its called Mangia E Bevi, they get you up to dance, people dance on the chairs, they cater to large groups of women.

its actually quite cheap, think about it...if FH and I go out to dinner together, were not gonna order our own meals bc theyre HUGE so well share it, lets say we get a pasta which is about $22-25 each thats 22-25 for both of us, hard to really find that and even if we get a meat side dish its not bad.

I've been to both, Mangia for a bachelorette party, we had sooooo much fun.
I went to lips for my bday a few years ago (a week after my sisters wedding). I have a few pix around if anyone is interested.

We went to Carmines for my cousins Bachelorette party (in Atlantic City). The food was amazing and there were so many other groups there for the same thing. We had a blast.

That's where I got engaged!!! It's a great place, the food is wonderful, and they definitely accomodate large groups...there were like 30 of us there the night we got engaged and we were very comfortable...

I love carmines. I went there for my 22nd bday. with like 14 people. anything past 14 or 15 you gotta do a catering menu thing. the food is sooooo good though.
