I think higher up is more popular. I personally think the lower the better. I feel like it's less shaky.
I had no clue, but my travel agent who is a cruise expert, said 'midway from top to bottom and from front to back' was perfect, and that's where she put us The lower you are, the less movement, but you still want that high over the water feeling, just not so high your rocking and rolling, in case anyone has a motion-sickness issue . . . so she booked us literally like the center of the the side of the ship from any direction, and it looks like a great spot when we do the 360 tour of the ship online!
I WOULD STAY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SHIP.
I think the mid-level where there is a little curve on the ship is the best place to stay. The lower the rockier and noiser and the higher might be too pricey
I prefer lower too but in my honest opinion it doesn't matter where you are on a ship. I will say the closer you are to elevators the louder the hallway will be.
Just make sure you dont pic the room under the gym, that was FH and my mistake last time
the higher the better
We went on the triumph last year and I think we stayed on deck 8. Just make sure you pay attention to what will be above you. We had the lounge/pool deck above us and every morning we heard the workers pulling out all the lounge chairs. It was definitely not a happy thing to wake up to.
I was on the main level and it was not noisy at all...i actually liked it better bc we were near everything
make sure you get a ocean view room bc the rooms in the center you will feel more shaking.
We stayed in the middle of the ship on the lower level. The travel agent said if you get sea sick it's best to be on the lower level. We were both fine. It really wasn't bad I liked how it was away from all the activities so it was really quiet.
Thanks a lot !! I was thinking about Carnival Victory !!!
I found out it really depends on the ship, so ask your travel agent. Believe it or not, one little design difference in one ship to the next can make a difference in what is 'the best' spot. My TA had been on my ship, and like 40 others (she's a cruise queen!) so she was able to advise on that particular ship.
Hello there, i have cruise on carnival 3 times and my family has went 5 times. I have been on the Carnival Legend, Carnival Valor and recently on the Carnival Freedom. I was deck 1 on the freedom towards the bow. I had no problems at all. Although my family was higher and they felt the boat shake. The legend i was on deck 2 and still didn't feel much, The Freedom i was on deck 5 and felt the boat shake a bit we were also in the middle of the ship. My parents and brother were towards the back and they said it was noisy. I had an ocean view room 1 out of 3 times. Overall i had liked that room the best. Out of the ships i have been on I am tied between the Valor and Freedom. More towards the Valor i think. They have a brand new ship that just came out called carnival splendor. This is supposed to be one of the biggest ships they have to the fleet i believe. I do find that the more the ship holds the more waiting you have to do for things.
