Any recommendations for carpet companies..

We used Carpet Depot near the Smithhaven mall.

We used Montauk Carpet on Rt. 110. Plus if you go to their website there is a coupon!!!

I second Montauk Carpet. They are great. Their installers are so professional, too!

We used Empire twice and have no complaints. The first time was 1.5 years ago and the second was about 5 months ago.

EMPIRE how quickly did it take for them to come and show you samples and then for them to install we are closing the 1 st week in may and we need capret down in like 4 days!! becasue then we have to mave all of our stuff in!!

was it quick?

I FM'd you, but they were there in a week at the most for the samples and then will install the next day if you want.

they were really quick. the first time i had to wait like a week for them to show samples, but it was in early dec and they were really busy with people trying to get it in before the holidays. they would have come the next day to install, but i had to wait like a week until i had a day off work.

the second time i called on wednesday and they came on saturday to show the samples (that was our preference, but they could have been there sooner) and we had them install the next saturday, although we could have had them come on that monday.

we did about half the house each time, and it only took one full day each time, which i was happy about.

we found their prices to be comprable to home depot, and they were faster and more convenient. i took out a credit card from them the first time and we had a year to pay it off, no interest no payments. the second time dh took the card out and now we have about 7 months to pay it off, same deal. the free gift is the padding under the carpet.
