Carpet store

I have never bought carpet in my life LOL Does anyone have a recommendation of a place? Also, do you know, do they need a week, a day, how long before they will come install it? Thanks!

Lots of new home related questions from me

Re: Carpet store

I just went through this. Like you, I had never done it before and was so afraid I'd make a mistake.

I ended up at the Home Depot in Coram. They were very helpful and explained how to read the labels re density, twist, etc. We bought a frieze carpet style w/dupont stainmaster. I paid 30 for measuring which was credited to my final order. In total - from start to finish - it was 3 weeks....and I paid 75 more and they did it over a 2 day period which made it easier for me with moving furniture and such.

They sub it out to the installers at US Carpet. Overall it was a completely wonderful experience and I would recommend them to anyone!

Feel free to FM me with any questions!

I used Kelly Floors in Seaford and they were reasonable and very helpful.

Re: Carpet store

same exact as kellyg---2 days to install and it also depends on if the carpet you pick is in stock or on back order.........us carpet did a great job!

Re: Carpet store

wanted to add---that if it's in stock you could probably get it put in real soon---as soon as mine came in(mine was back ordered) i had it in a few days later!
